Please join us at our featured venue, Suite One Hundred, as we showcase our tried and true favorite menu items for your re-view, while you take in the expansive view of Commencement Bay from our ballroom and outdoor terrace. The is one of our quarterly free tastings for current and prospective clients, friends, and colleagues. Complimentary buffet stations and a cash bar will be available. Summer Solstice: Dinner. Magic. Dancing.
We had a fabulous evening with a fabulous 5-course feast while enjoying flamenco guitar by Julian C. Everyone got a chance for a look into the future with Tarot & Palm Readings by Darlene of Christopher's Lamp. Later we danced the wee hours away with more live music by The Tropics. There was even a cameo appearance by Monica singing "Mustang Sally". If you missed it, you'd better make sure to attend future events for more delicious food, tasty cocktails, and fun, fun, fun!

Our last Free Tasting and Spring Open House was Thursday, April 16th at the Chinese Room at the Smith Tower. We provided RE-lief from tax day, the RE-cent chatter about the economy, and from the gray of winter while we threw a Springtime Party for you. We all RE-vived our spirits with delicious food, tasty cocktails,and RE-ally fun people. We showcased ways to RE-invent ourselves, yet again, to better accommodate the RE-vised needs for today's celebrations. Whether it's RE-cycling, using RE-newable resources, or just RE-membering why we all deserve a party, A Grand Affaire is always looking for new ways to RE-solve your concerns and RE-gale you. We won for the 2nd year in a row!! May 1st was the 3rd Annual "Herb Hors d'oeuvre Challenge" - a benefit for the King County Master Gardener Foundation at the UW Botanic Gardens in Seattle. It was a "Top Chef" style competetion where each caterer/restaurant presented their original herb-inspired hors d'oeuvre for guests to taste, as we all vied for the coveted "Golden Brussel Sprout Award" presented by our locally famous gardener, Ciscoe. (Ohh la la!) A Grand Affaire defended valiantly and won again this year! Last year it was our signature "Lobster Tarragon Bisque" that took the crown, this year it was our Mediterannean Vegetable Cakes with Lemon-Thyme Parmesan Creme Fraiche. It's good to be the queen!. |
