Monica S. Newby, Catering Director / Owner

Monica brings twenty years of food service, management and sales experience to create A Grand Affaire. With her experience as a Certified Financial Planning Practitioner, she also handles the business aspect of the company. And, as her nickname, "the party girl" indicates, she enjoys creating spectacular events. Monica’s talent in organization and leadership has created a skilled team that is sure to make each event as Grand as you would expect from the most prestigious caterers. Her thorough attention to detail and her passion for food brings success and great taste to your events. Since opening for business in 1998, Monica has developed A Grand Affaire into a finely tuned catering service.
Robb Newby, Operations Director / Owner

Robb’s talents contribute to the successful completion and integrity of each event we produce. His background in restaurants and employment recruiting provide you with a knowledgeable, professional and friendly service staff team. His strong communication and leadership skills enable him to manage each event to assure an overall enjoyable experience for each guest. High standards and an extremely personable demeanor are just two of Robb’s many strong suits which create the excellence we are known for.
 
Caroline Stoner, Executive Chef

Chef Caroline brings 12 years of well-rounded experience in the food and beverage industry. Her background in both front of the house service and back of the house cooking have come together to bring you a talented chef and a flexible team player. She developed her cooking skill and food knowledge in the intense Culinary School at Seattle Central College. Since then Chef Caroline has developed a creative cooking style seasoned with a love for intense flavor and elegant presentation. Each item she creates demonstrates her passion for food and a true caring for a job well done. Her experience with off-premise catering at even the most challenging locations (including archaeological digs) has prepared her to be a terrific problem solver. In 2003 she brought her skill to our team at A Grand Affaire. She is always excited to try new things and her fun-loving attitude makes it a pleasure to work with her to create your own customized menu. Chef Caroline's tasteful cuisine will make your event a success and a culinary experience to remember.
 
Daniel Murphy, Catering Managerr

Daniel has experienced every aspect of planning and successfully leading an event during his eight years working for A Grand Affaire. He has led events at many unique venues, and is often asked by clients to annually lead their events. Daniel takes great care in training new employees and scheduling the perfect team to make your event spectacular. He ensures your event will run smoothly, taking great care to spot and troubleshoot potential problems-leaving you to fully enjoy your event.
Jamison Ausburn, Catering Chef

Jamison’s intense professionalism is demonstrated in the pride that he takes in providing your affaire with seamless presentation. He began with A Grand Affaire in 1999 as a server and banquet captain before obtaining his culinary arts degree after completing the Le Cordon Bleu Program @ Western Culinary Institute. His experience and dedication will ensure that your food is skillfully prepared, your buffet is efficiently replenished, and every aspect of service is of the highest standards. Every one of your guests will experience the same spectacular food and presentation, from the very first guest to the several that will return for seconds (and even thirds). Jamison will attend to your needs throughout the entire event so that you can relax and enjoy the party.
